1/20/1995 MINUTES OF AN � ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - OF THE CITY COUNCIL , OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA JANUARY 20, 1995 CALL TO ORDER An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills was called to = order by Mayor Heinsheimer at 7:40 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 1995, at 1 Buggy Whip Drive. ROLL CALL Councilmembers Present: Hill, Lay, Murdock, Mayor Pro Tem Pernell and Mayor Heinsheimer. Councilmembers Absent: None. Others Present: ' Craig R. Nealis, City Manager. Lola Ungar, Principal Planner. John Blazevich, Applicant. Stanley Lamport, Applicant's Legal Representative. Anthony Inferera, Applicant's Architect. Doug McHattie, Applicant's Representative. PUBLIC HEARINGS -continued ZONING CASE NO. 505A MR. JOHN Z. BLAZEVICH, 1 BUGGY WHIP DRIVE (LOT 176-A AND A PORTION OF LOT 176-MS) APPEAL OF A PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF A REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND RELOCATION OF � AN EXISTING TENNIS COURT AND APPROVAL OF A REQUEST FOR SITE PLAN REVIEW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE TO REPLACE AN EXISTING SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE. Those in attendance viewed drawings presented by the applicant showing grading quantities and grading locations as well as three dimensional models and historical photographs depicting the site in a pre-existing condition. Councilmember Lay questioned the purpose of the area to be graded. The applicant, John Blazevich and his attorney, indicated that the proposed grading will return the site to a more natural state, more closely aligned with the original contours of the land prior to development. Mr. Lamport presented cross-sections of grading plans which were designed to imprbve drainage. Those in attendance viewed the project in the field including the tennis court area, stable area, driveway and proposed residential developments. Councilmember Lay departed the meeting at 5:00 a.m. The grading as it relates to the location of the stable and tennis court were discussed. Stanley Lamport objected to the calculation of the approximate existing pad on the site. Principal Planner Lola Ungar was directed to discuss this matter with the applicant's representatives and consider their calculation of the existing pad. After discussion, Mayor Heinsheimer continued the public hearing and adjourned the City Council Meeting at 8:27 a.m., to Monday, January 23, 1995, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rolling Hills City Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend, Rolling Hills California.
