CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills was called to
order by Mayor Pernell at 8:06 a.m. at 7 Pine Tree Lane, Rolling Hills, California.
ROLL CALL
Councilmembers Present: Hill, Lay, Mayor Pro Tem Murdock and Mayor Pernell.
Councilmembers Absent: Heinsheimer (excused).
Others Present: Craig R. Nealis, City Manager.
Lola Ungar, Principal Planner.
John Resich, Applicants' Representative.
Robert Smith, Applicant.
Doug McHattie, Applicants' Representative.
PUBLIC HEARINGS - Continued
ZONING CASE NO. 449A, SUBDIVISION NO. 83, AND TENTATIVE PARCEL
MAP NO. 22334
REQUEST FOR A TWO (2) LOT SUBDIVISION OF LAND
Dr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, 7 Pine Tree Lane (Lot 86-RH)
Applicants' representative Doug McHattie explained the case in the field and identified
points involving the road, remedial key cut, driveway, quantities of grading and other
points of interest.
Members of the City Council and those in attendance toured the property from the
southerly and westerly directions reviewing the proposed area to be graded for remedial
repair of the lot. Mayor Pernell posed the question of road stability and if that stability
would be affected by the remedial grading. Staff was directed to approach the County of Los
Angeles for a response.
Mayor Pro Tem Murdock clarified that grading of the lot cannot take place without an
approved housing plan on the lot per the Municipal Code. Councilmember Lay requested
that the large trees be located on future maps. The location of telephone poles, in the area,
was also requested to be placed on the plans.
There being no further discussion and hearing no objection, Mayor Pernell continued the
public hearing to May 8, 1995.

LABOR NEGOTIATIONS

Mayor Pernell announced that the City Council will conduct a Closed Session relative to
Government Code Section 54957.6, Labor Negotiations at 8:48 a.m.
RECONVENE
Mayor Pernell reconvened the meeting at 8:50 a.m. and announced that no action was
taken in the Closed Session.

ADIOURNMEN'T
Hearing no further business before the City Council, Mayor Pernell adjourned the meeting
at 8:51 a.m., to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council to be held on
Monday, May 8, 1995, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road,
Rolling Hills, California.
