RESOLUTION NO. 31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS FIXING THE RETAINER
OF THE CITY ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS# by resolution No. 2 of the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills, William L. Kinley was
appointed as City Attorney of said city to hold office
from the time of his acceptance of such appointment at
the continuing pleasure of the City Council; and
RESOLVED, that said retainer shall remain in effect
at the pleasure of this council.
THAT the Mayor shall sign this resolution and all
other Councilmen shall attest and certify to the passage
and adoption thereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of
June, 1957.

WHEREAS, the compensation of said City Attorney
was in said resolution fixed at the sum of $10.00 per
month to and including June 30, 1957; and
WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the City Council
to fix a permanent retainer for said City Attorney; and
WME,A.S, this council hereby determines that the
sum of $200.00 per month is a fair and reasonable re-
tainer for all legal services to be performed for said

city, other than court appearances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills does hereby fix the sum of
$200.00 as the monthly retainer of William L. Kinleyas
City Attorney for said City of Rolling Hills, said sum
to cover all -legal services to be rendered for said city,
other than court appearances; and further
RESOLVED, that said retainer shall become effective
on July 10 1957, provided that said William L. Kinley
shall have filed with the City Clerk his written acceptance
of said retainer and shall have in such acceptance agreed
to perform all legal services requested of him as City
Attorney for said retainer excepting, however, court
appearances which shall be paid for at a rate to be
agreed upon in advance of any court appearance; and fur -
then
RESOLVED, that said retainer shall remain in effect
at the pleasure of this council.
THAT the Mayor shall sign this resolution and all
other Councilmen shall attest and certify to the passage
and adoption thereof.
