P 54 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills that the California Highway Commission take immediate action to comply with the terms of Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 172 and allocate funds 'at the earliest possible time for the commencement of construction of that portion of said Freeway not now constructed; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be instructed to transmit copies of this Resolution to the Chairman of the California Highway Commission and to Mr. E. T. Telford, Chief Highway Engineer of Division No. 7. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of June, 1958. Mayor ATTEST: Deputy, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: City Attorney A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS REQUESTING THAT THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION .COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 172 WHEREAS, the San Diego Freeway (State Highway Route 158) is a part of the State Highway System, running from Route 4 near San Fernando to Route 2 in the vicinity of E1 Toro; and WHEREAS, a Portion of said Freeway from near Culver City to Route 2 near E1 Toro has not yet been constructed; and WHEREAS, said Freeway would provide an important link between Northern and Southern California and avoid and eliminate traffic congestion in metropolitan Los Angeles; and C WHEREAS, there is an immediate need for the completion of said Freeway; and WHEREAS, Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 172 was adopted by the Assembly of the State of California on June 133, 1957 requestirng-'.the California Highway Commission to allocate funds for the completion of said Freeway at the earliest possible time; and WHEREAS, said Freeway still remains unconstructed and for this funds have not been allocated purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills that the California Highway Commission take immediate action to comply with the terms of Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 172 and allocate funds 'at the earliest possible time for the commencement of construction of that portion of said Freeway not now constructed; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be instructed to transmit copies of this Resolution to the Chairman of the California Highway Commission and to Mr. E.
