RESOLUTION NO. 85
A__ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'OF
ROILING HILLS, CALIFORNIA FIXING THE RATE OF
TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING :JULY 1, 1959
AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1960.
WHEREAS, by ordinance heretofore adopted pursuant to
the provisions of Section 51508 of the Government Code of
the State of California, this City Council fixed $63,236.20
as the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to
support the departments of the City of Rolling Hills for
the current fiscal year commencing July 1, 1959 and ending
June 30, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the total assessed value of all property
within the City of Rolling Hills is $6,323,620;
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 51511 of the
Government Code of the State of California, the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills does resolve as follows:
1. RESOLVED that there is hereby levied for municipal
purposes upon each One Hundred Dollars (100.00) worth
(assessed valuation) of property in the City of Rolling Hills,
exclusive of property which is tax exempt, for the fiscal year
commencing July 1, 1959 and ending June 30, 1969, a tax of
$1.00.
2. RESOLVED FURTHER that the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage of this resolution by the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills and cause the same to be posted in
three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Rolling Hills,
and it.shall take effect immediately.
3. RESOLVED FURTHER that the City Clerk be, and he
hereby is, instructed to file with the County Auditor of the
County of Los Angeles on:or before September 1, 1959, a
certified copy of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of
August 1959.
