A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH SOUTH BAY ENGINEERING CO.
PROVIDING FOR THEIR EMPLOYMENT TO DRAW PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGNS FOR FLOOD CONTROL
IN THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS.
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has instituted certain
flood control construction, a part of which is located within
the City of Rolling Hills, said project being known as'Flood
Control Project No.°570; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Rolling Hills
to' employ engineers for the purpose of drawing plans, specifica-
tions and designs for said flood control work to be done in
said City; and
ar
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it should
employ the South Bay Engineering Co., to do such engineering
work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City of Rolling Hills, and the Clerk thereof, be and they
are hereby authorized, empowered and directed for and on
behalf of the City of Rolling Hills to enter into an agreement
in the form submitted to this Council providing for the employ-
ment of said South Bay Engineering Co., to draw plans, specifica-
tions and designs required for Flood Control Project No. 570.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution, and the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the_.,
passage and adaption thereof, and that there shall be attached
to the permanent file copy of this Resolution a copy of the
form of agreement above referred to.

THIS AGREEMENT, made
and
entered
into this 16th day of
September, -.1959, by and between the CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, 'a
municipal corporation, in the State of California hereinafter
referred to as the "City", and RAYMOND L. QUIGLEY, dbai SOUTH
BAY ENGINEERING COMPANY, a licensed engineer, hereinafter re-
ferred to as the "Engineer",
WITNESSETH:

That the Engineer undertakes and agrees to prepare,
complete and perform all necessary plans, supporting data,
and perform all engineering services required of the City by
Los Angeles County Flood Control District pursuant to the terms
and conditions of the City -County Flood Control' Project Agree-
ment dated May 5, 1959,-.-a copy of which is on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City, and by this reference incorporated
herein as though fully set forth, and alcopy of which is in the
possession of the Engineer.
That the Engineer will be compensated for his services
in accordance with the provisions of said agreement relating
to engineering fees and as expeditiously as funds become due
and payable from the.district for engineering.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City, by order of its City Council,
has caused these presents to be subscribed by its Mayor and the
seal of said City to be affixed by the City Clerk of said City,
and the Engineer has affixed his signature,, as of the day, month
and year first above written.
