A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF:IROLLING HILLS ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING
THE PRODUCTION OF A WORLDtS FAIR IN THE LOS
ANGELES AREA IN 1963-1964.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Los Angeles and
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County have heretofore
both endorsed the efforts being made to sponsor, obtain and
successfully conduct the Worldts Fair in the Los Angeles Area
in 1963-1964; and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this objective the Los
Angeles City Council and the Board of Supervisors have recommended
the appointment of a Citizents to obtain and perfect production
of a World's Fair in 1963-1964; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING
HILLS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That by adoption of this resolution the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills does hereby commend the Los Angeles
City Council, the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County,
the Legislature of the State of California, and the Congress of
the United States of America in their respective efforts toward
obtaining production of a World's Fair in 1963-1964 in the Los
Angeles area;
2. That the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
does hereby urge every resident of the City of Rolling Hills and
all other cities in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area to assist
in every way possible the efforts of the Citizen's Committee to
successfully achieve production of a Worldts Fair in the Los
Angeles area in 1963-64.
3. That copies of this resolution be forwarded by the
City Clerk to each of the governmental bodies herein mentioned
and to the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles in order that they
may thereby be encourged to continue their active support of
this -very worthwhile program.
