A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS COMMENDING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR ESTAB-
LISHING SUPERIOR COURT DISTRICTS IN LOS ANGELES
COUNTY.
WHEREAS, there has been for many years a need for
branches of -the Superior Court of Los Angeles County
in the outlying cities of said County; and
WHEREAS, heretofore said outlying cities and dis-
tricts have been served, -by branch courts.established by
legislative enactment on a population basis; and
WHEREAS, 'the Counter of Los Angeles should be divided
into Superior Court Districts in order to serve the
citizens of Los Angeles County more efficiently; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County has heretofore ordered the preparation of an
Ordinance dividing the County of -Los Angeles into nine
Superior Court Districts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills does commend the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los' Angeles for its action
of ordering the preparation of an Ordinance dividing the
County of Los Angeles into nine Superior Court Districts;
and
BE IT' FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills does urge the passage of said Ordi-
nance as soon as feasible by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Los Angeles in'order to provide the lawyers
and the citizens of Los Angeles County with more efficient
system of administering justice in the Superior Courts
of Los Angeles County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
Resolution be forwarded by the City Clerk to the Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.
