A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR BORROWING
AND LENDING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling
Hills,
California,
finds
that
it is to
the best
interests
of the
residents of
the
City
of Rolling
Hills to
enter
into an agreement with the County of Los Angeles and
twelve, (12) cities located in the area commonly known
and referred to as the South Bay District, providing
for cooperation between said parties for the borrowing
and lending of mechanical vehicular equipment for the
purpose of cleaning and maintaining streets; installing,
maintaining and constructing water, sewers and storm
'drains; installing, maintaining and trimming trees,
shrubs and turf; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Rolling Hills a form of an agree-
ment entitled "Joint Powers Agreement"; and
WHEREAS, the terms of said agreement are satisfac-
tory to the City of Rolling Hills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
the City Clerk of this City be authorized to execute for
and on behalf of the City of Rolling Hills that certain
agreement entitled "Joint Powers Agreement" said agree-
ment to be in all respects exactly the same as the one
presented to this meeting, a copy thereof being on file
with the records of the City Clerk of the City of
Rolling Hills.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of January,
1960. /
