0096152 RESOLUTION NO. 96 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DE- CLARING THE RESULT OF THE GENERAL ELEC- TION HELD ON TUESDAY, THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL, 1960, IN SAID CITY WHEREAS,•a general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Rolling Hills on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1960, as required by the laws -of the State -of California; and WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly andc1ega1ly giVbTi; voting precincts were properly established; election officers were appointed and election supplies secure; and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and votes cast thereat, received and canvassed, and returns thereof made and declared in the,time, form and.manner as required by the general laws of the State of California governining said election in said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City met in the Council Chambers of the Council on Tuesday, the 19th day of April, 1960, to canvass the returns of said election and as a result of said canvass the council finds that they -number of votes cast and the names of the persons voted for as required by law.to be canvassed to be as hereinafter stated; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills, California, as follows: Section 1. That the general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Rolling Hills on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1960, -in the time, form and manner as required by law; that there was one voting precinct established for the purpose of holding said election.- Section lection: Section 2. That the names of the persons and the offices for which they were voted and the number of votes given in each precinct to..each of said persons, together n 1 153 with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire City, are as follows: FOR CITY COUNCIL: FRED I. TOURTELOT 236 JOSEPH S. O1FLAHERTY 193 OWEN F. GOODMAN 162 EUGENE DUNN 3 RICHARD E. LAUTERBACH 1 Section 3. That the whole number of votes cast at the general municipal election in the City of Rolling Hills on Tuesday, the 12th day of.April, 1960, was 595. Section 4. That as a result of said general munici- pal election held and conducted in the City of::Rblling Hills on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1960, the City Council of the.City of Rolling Hills does hereby declare under Section 9918 of the Election Code of the State of California_that the following persons received the highest number of votes cast in said City and are hereby declared elected to their respective offices: FOR CITY COUNCIL: FRED I. TOURTELOT 236 JOSEPH S. OIFLAHERTY 193 Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and its approval by the City Council of the Cityof"'Rolling Hills, and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. k.PBROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of April, 1960.
