A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A
DEPUTY CITY CLERK, DE7PUTY.CITY TREASURER,
PURCHASING OFFICER AND SECRETARY OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION,.AND FIXING THE TERMS
OF APPOINTMENT AND_COMIPENSATION THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Petition for incorporation of the
City of Rolling Hills, California, provides ftr the appoint-
ment of all officers of the City other than Councilmen, by
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council has
appointed Phyllis Stockdale as Deputy City Clerk, Deputy
City Treasurer, Purchasing.Officer and Secretary of the
C Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, Phyllis Stockdale has resigned each.
of the aforementioned offices, ,and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable that the City
Council now appoint a Deputy City Clerk, Deputy City Treas-
urer, Purchasing Officer and Secretary of the Planning
Commission to replace said Phyllis Stockdale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THat Mary Louise
Powers be, and she is hereby appointed by the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills to the office of Deputy City
Clerk, Deputy City Treasurer, Purchasing Officer and Secret-
ary of the Planning Commission; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that upon her qualifica-
tion and acceptance of said offices, she shall hold each of
said offices at the pleasure of the City Council, which
offices she is hereby authorized to fulfill in addition to
her employment as secretary to Gilbert B. Myers, Business
Manager of the Rolling Hills Community Association of
Rancho Palos Verdes; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective July 1,
1960,and continuing thereafter at the pleasure of the City
Council the monthly compensation of Mary Louise Powers as
Deputy City Clerk, Deputy City Treasurer and Purchasing
Officer be and the same is hereby fixed at $400.00 per month,

0350.00 of said sum shall be charged against the budget
items for Deputy City Clerk, Deputy City Treasurer and
Purchasing Officer, and $50.00 of which shall be charged
against the budget item of Planning Commission,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall
sign this resolution and City Clerk shall attest and
certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
