RESOLUTION NO. 133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS APPOINTING'A CITY
CLERK -AND CITY.MANAGER, AND FIXING THE
`TERMSsOF APPOINTMENT:AND COMPENSATION.
WHEREAS, the petition for incorporation of the City
of Rolling Hills, California, provides for the appointment of
all officers of the City other than councilmen.by the City.
Council; and '
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council has appointed
Gilbert B. Myers as City Clerk and City Manager; and
WHEREAS, Gilbert B. Myers has resigned each of the
aforementioned offices which resignation is to take effect on
January 2, 1962; and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable that -the City Council
now appoint and employ a new City Clerk and City Manager to
replace the said Gilbert B. Myers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that PHYLLIS STOCKDALE
ibe and she is hereby appointed by the City Council of the City
,of Rolling Hills to the office of City Clerk and City Manager;
.and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon her qualification
and acceptance of said offices, she shall hold each 'of said
offices in accordance with the terms and provisions of that
certain Letter Agreement dated November 14, 1961 entered into
by and between the said Phyllis Stockdale and the City of
Rolling Hills, the original of said Letter Agreement being on
file in the City records. -She,is further authorized to hold and
fulfill said offices in addition to her employment as Business
Manager of the Rolling Hills Community Association of Rancho
Palos Verdes, a non-profit corporation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective January 2, 1962
and continuing thereafter in accordance with said Letter Agree-
ment the annual compensation of the said Phyllis Stockdale as
City Clerk and City Manager, shall be and the same is hereby
fixed at Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00) per year, which sum
shall be paid to the said Phyllis Stockdale in either monthly
or bi-monthly installments.
BE IT.FUI�THER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the
passage and adoption thereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 26th day of December,
1961.
