A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING,
AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL.MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON THE 10TH DAY -OF APRIL, 1962..
WHEREAS, Section -36503 of the Government Code requires
that a -General Municipal Election be held in general law cities
on the second Tuesday in April of'.each even-numbered'year;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Rolling Hills, California, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That said General Municipal Election.bd.
held and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of
Rolling Hills on April 10, 1962'.
Section 2. That the polls for said election shall
be opened at 7:00 o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and
shall remain open_confinuously from said time until 7:00 o'clock
P.M. of the same day; when said polls shall be closed, except
as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State
of California.
Section 3. That for the purpose of holding said
General Municipal Election there shall be and are hereby est-
ablished one (1) voting precinct designated as hereinafter
stated. Each such votbng precinct shall consist of either
regular election precincts in the City of Rolling Hills (of
the names and numbers hereinafter stated) established for the
holding of State and County elections, as said regular election
precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution or
a consolidation of some or all of such precincts. That the
polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places
hereinafter designated, and that the persons hereinafter_ named,
being competent and qualified electors and residents of said
city and of their respective voting precincts, are hereby
appointed officers of election for their respective voting pre-
cincts and they shall hold said election,and make return there-
of in the manner provided by law.

Section 4. That except as otherwise provided in
this resolution, the election called hereby shall be held and
conducted as provided by Chapter 2, Part 2, Division XII of
the Elections Code, and in all respects not otherwise provided
for in said Chapter, said election shall be held and conducted

in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code
governing elections generally, so far as they may be Applic-

Section 5. That the compensation which shall be paid
to each election officer and the rental .to be paid to each owner
as rental for each polling place is as follows:

Section 6. That the City Council of said city shall
meet at -its usual place of meeting on April 17, 1962 at 7:30
o'clock P.M... of .said day and.proceed to canvass .the election
returns and declare the result of said elections.
Section 7, That the City Clerk shall give the notices
required by law for the holding of said General Municipal
Election..
Section 8, This resolution shall take effect .upon
its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of
January, 1962.
