A RESOLUTION OF THE C.ITY.COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS FIXING THE
RETAINER OF THE CITY. ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, -by Resolution.No.-2 of the City Council
of the City of Rolling Hills, William Kinley was appointed
as City Attorney of said City to hold office from the time
of his acceptance of such appointment at the continuing
pleasure of the City Council; and
WHEREAS,, the .retainer of said City Att-orney was
fixed at $200.00 per month by'Resolution No...31;.and
WHEREAS, in view of the increasing demands made
upon his time in the rendering of legal services for the
City it appears that the aforementioned retainer is insufficient;

UD NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that.the City Council
.of the City of Rolling.Hills does hereby fix the sum of $300.00
as the monthly :retainer. of William Kinley as City Attorney 'for
said City of Rolling Hills, said sum to cover all legal services
to -.be rendered for said:city, other than court appearances;
and further

RESOL�IED, that said retainer shall become effective
on.September 1, 1.962, provided that.said William Kinley shall
have filed with the City Clerk his written acceptance of.said
retainer and shall have in such acceptance agreed to perform
all legal services requested of.him as City AttorneyLfor.said
retainer excepting, however, court appearances which sha.11'be
paid.for at a rate to be agreed upon in advance of any court
.appearance; and further -
RESOLVED, that -said retainer shall remain in effect
at the pleasure of this council.
THAT the Mayor shall sign this resolution and.al.l
_other Councilmen shall. attest and certify to the passage

being Resolution No. 148, was passed and adopted by the City

Mayor Pro Tempore of said City and attested by the City Clerk, all
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of August, 1962,
and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote,
to wit:
