RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A
DEPUTY CITY TREASURER AND FIXING THE
TERM OF APPOINTMENT AND COMPENSATION
THEREFORi
WHEREAS, the Petition for Incorporation ,of the City of
Rolling.-Hiills, California, provides for the appointment of
all officers of the City other than Councilmen, by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, heretofore.the City Council has appointed
Mary Louise Powers as Deputy City Clerk and Deputy City
Treasurer, Purchasing.Officer, and Secretary of the Planning
Commission; and..

_HEREAS, Mary Louise Powers has resigned each of the
,aforementioned offices; and

WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to appoint a .
Deputy City Treasurer to replace the said Mary Louise Powers,
et and let the offices of Deputy City Clerk, Purchasing Officer,
" and Secretary of the Planning Commission remain vacant
at this time;
NOW, THEREFORE,�BE IT RESOLVED that Phyllis Stockdale
be and she hereby is appointed by the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills to the office of Deputy City Treasuere; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon her qualifications and
acceptance of said office, she shall hold said office at the
pleasure of the City Council, which office she is hereby
authorized to fulfill in addition to her employment as
Business Manager of the Rolling Hills Community Association of
Rancho Palos Verdes; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no additional compensation
shall be paid to the said Phyllis Stockdale for her duties
as Deputy City Treasurer of the City of Rolling Hills; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest and certify to
the passage and adoption thereof. "
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of
September, 1962.
