A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
FOR PUBLIC USE AS SET FORTH HEREIN, AND THAT THE
FEE SIMPLE TITLE, IN AND TO FOR ALL THE REAL
PROPERTY HEREIN DESCRIBED, IS NECESSARY THEREFOR:
AUTHORIZING, EMPOWERING AND REQUESTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE EMINENT DOMAIN
PROCEEDINGS'NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE SAID PROPERTY.
The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills resolves
as follows:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
hereby finds and determines that:
(a) The public interest, convenience and necessity
require the acquisition, construction, erection and
completion by the City of Rolling Hills, of certain
public improvements for public use within the City
of Rolling Hills, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, namely:
The acquisition, construction, erection, operation and
maintenance of a public building and parking area, to
be used as a City Hall and to house city offices,
and to provide public parking. .
(b) The acquisition of the fee simple title in and to
all that real property situated in the City of Rolling
Hills, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
hereinafter descrived, is necessary for said public im-
provements for public use:
Lot 21 of Rolling Hills, in the City of Rolling Hills,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 201, pages 29 et seq., of
Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County.
EXCEPT therefrom that portion of said Lot 21, described
as follows:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of said Lot 21;
thence along the northwesterly line thereof, North
,-25o29'55" East 260.$8. feet; thence South 64030'05"
East 50.00 feet; thence South 50034*00" East 328.97
feet;thence North 40026'20" East 140.00 feet to the
northeasterly line of said lot 21; thence along said
last mentioned line, South 49033'40" East 211.74 feet to
the most easterly corner of said Lot 21; thence along
the boundary line of said Lot 21 the following courses
and distances; South 13029'40" West 42.57 feet; North
83006'20" West 218.57 feet; South 63053'00" 'West 240.02
feet; North 54035'10" East 215.86 feet; North64030'05"
West 50.00 feet to the point of beginning.
(c) The said proposed public improvements for public
use are planned and located in a manner which will be most
compatible for the greatest public good and the least private
injury.
Section-2:.The City Attorney for the„ City of Rolling Hills
is hereby authorized and requested to bring an action in the
name of the City of Rolling Hills in the Superior Court of the
State of California for the purpose of acquiring, by eminent domain,__
the fee simple title.to the herein before,.desctibed real property,
for said public improvements for public .use as requested by law,
and to take all action necessary to complete the acquisition
of such title in the name of .the City of Rolling Hills`, a
municipal corporation; provided, however, that the City,aCouncil
may, by motion duly adopted, authorize the taking of the said fee
simple title in and to all or portions of said property, subject
to taxes, easements, conditions, reservations, restrictions;
defects, rights of way, liens, and encumbrances of whatsoever
nature, or -any thereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of January,
1963.

passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
