RESOLUTION NO. 157
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF=THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA,' DESIG-
NATING "SWAFFIELD PARK'.AS A PRIMITIVE AREA
WHEREAS, the City of, Rolling •Hills•. is .-the _ owner
of approximately fourteen acres of land.known and designated
as "Swaffield Park'.,:' .and _
.WHEREAS,, -there is located_in,said park certain
facilities, for the.riding_and training.of�horses and the
exploitation and improvement of the sport of horsemanship;
and
WHEREAS, °-the residents of the City of Rolling
Hills are interested in keeping said park in its natural
state for the use and enjoyment of the residents and
equestrians of the City; -
NOW, -THEREFORE.' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the_City,of.� Roll•ing:•Hi-•lls _that'that certain area of land
known and designated as Swaffield Park is.hereby designated
as a primitive area for the use of the residents and eques-
trians of the City of Rolling Hills.

-BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for the putposes:•of
this Resolution, a "p.rimitive area" is defined to be an
area set aside in its natural condition and in which no
alterations or improvements shall -be permitted except such
improvements or developments which are necessary to pre-
serve the health, safety and.welfare of the residents of
the City of Rolling Hills --
