A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROLLING -HILLS APPOINTING
A CITY CLERK ANII,CITY MANAGER AND DEPUTY
CITY TREASURER AND FIXING*THE TERMS OF.
APPOINTMENT AND COMPENSATION
WHEREAS; the Petition- for Incorporation of the
City -of Rolling Hills; California, provides,for'the appoint-
ment of all officers of -the City; other than Couricilman;*by
the'City Council; and
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council has appointed
PHYLLIS S . ' STOCKDALE . as* City Clerk and City,'Manager and Deputy
City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, said Phyllis S. Stockdale has resigned
each of the aforementioned offices effective this date; and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable that the City Council
now.appoint and employ a new City Clerk, City Manager and --
Deputy City Treasurer to replace the said Phyllis S. Stock -
dale;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Teena Clifton
be and she is hereby appointed by the City Council of the
City of Rolling -Hills to the combined office of City Clerk,
City Manager and Deputy City Treasurer; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, upon her qualification
and acceptance of said offices, she hold each of eaid offices
according to the pleasure of the City Council, which offices
she is authorized to hold and fulfill in addition to her
employment as Business Manager of the Rolling Hills Community
Association of Rancho Palos Verdes, a non-profit corporation;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that effective immediately
the annual compensation of -said Teena Clifton, as'City Clerk,
City Manager and Deputy City Treasurer, shall be and the same
is hereby fixed at Three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty,and
No/100 Dollars ($3,750.00) per year, which sum shall be ppid
to the said Teena Clifton in either monthly or bi-monthly
installments; and
BE IT -FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor Pro Tem -shall
sign this Resolution and two Councilmen shall attest and
certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
.PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 10th day of
February, 1964.

I, PHYLLIS STOCKDALE, City Clerk of the City of
Rolling Hills, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
being Resolution No. 175 was passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Rolling Hills, California, signed by
the Mayor Pro Tem of said City and attested by the City Clerk,
all at a regular meeting thereof held on the tenth day of
February, 1964, and that the same was passed and adopted by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Tourtelot, O'Flaherty, Van Note,
and Mayor Pro Tem Goodman
NOES: None
