A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING
HILLS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A MUTUAL AID
AND JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills at its meeting.held.on.September 13, 1965, a
proposed "Mutual Aid and Joint Powers Agreement', which Agreement
provides for mutual assistance in the event of local emergency, local
disaster or civil disturbance in the cities of E1 Segundo, Gardena,
Hawthorne, Hermosa.Beach, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lomita, Manhattan Beach,
Palos Verdes Estates,"Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills,'Rolling Hills
Estates and Torrance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms of said
Agreement and is of the opinion that said Agreement; if executed by the
City of Rolling Hills, would be of mutual a.id and benefit to the citizens
of the City of Rolling Hills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Rolling Aills•that it is to the mutual aid, advantage and
welfare of the residents of the City of Rolling Hills that the City
become a party to said Mutual"Aid and Joint Powers Agreement with the
approval of the office of":Los Angeles County Sheriff and the Mayor of
the City of Rolling Hills and the City Clerk are authorized and
empowered to execute said Agreement on the condition that a copy thereof
be filed and kept in the records of the City of Rolling -:Hills.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 13th day of September, 1965.
