A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS, IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE RESULT OF
THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY,
THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL,- 1966 IN SAID CITY
WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of Rolling Hills,, bounty of Los Angeles,
State of California, on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1966,
as required by the laws of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and legally given;
that voting precincts were properly established; that election
officers were appointed and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and can-
vassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner
as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State
of California for the holding of elections in cities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City met in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall on Tuesday, the 19th day of April, 1966,
to canvass the returns of said election and as a result of said
canvass the Council finds that the number of votes cast and the
names of the persons voted for as required by law to be canvassed
to be as hereinafter stated:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills, California, as follows:
Section 1.
That the general municipal election was held and conducted
in the City of Rolling Hills on Tuesday, the 12th day of April,
1966, in the time, form and manner as required by law; that there
was one voting precinct established for the purpose of holding
said election consisting of 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the regular election
precincts in the City of Rolling Hills, as established for the -
holding of state and county elections.
Section 2.
That said regular general municipal election was held for
the purpose of electing three members of the City Council of said
City for the full term of four years, as required by the laws
relating to cities in the State of California.
Section 3.
That the names of the persons and the offices•for which they
were voted and the number of votes given to each of said persons
are as follows:

Section 4.
That the whole number of votes cast in said City (except
absent voter ballots) was 944.
That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said
City was 48, making a total of 992 votes cast in said City.

Section 5.
That as a result of said general municipal election held
and conducted in the.City of Rolling Hills on Tuesday, the 12th
day of April, 1966, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
does hereby declare under the provisions of Section 2293.2 of the
Elections Code of the State of California that the following
persons received the highest number of votes cast in said City
and are hereby declared elected to their respective offices:

Section 6.
That the City Clerk shall immediately make and, upon compliance
by the persons elected with the provisions of Section 11565 and
Section -11568 of the Elections Code of the State of California, shall
deliver to each of such persons so elected a Certificate of Election
signed by her and duly authenticated; that she shall also administer
to each person elected, the Oath of Office prescribed in the State
Constitution of the State of California and shall have them sub-
scribe thereto and file the same in .her office. Whereupon, each
and all of said persons so elected shall be inducted into the
respective office to which they have been elected.
Section 7.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution
and its approval by the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills,
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
