John Merritt At this time, Mayor 0 'Flaherty Ieft the meeting and Councilman Tourtelot, Vice Mayor, presided. � APPROVAL OF MINUTES , On motion of Councilman Goodman, seconded by Councilman Tourtelot and unanimously carried the minutes of the meeting held December I0, I962 were approved as written and the minutes of the meeting of December 20, 1962 were ordered tabled. REQUEST FOR REZONING - LOT 240B-MS , JOHN B. MERRITT, OWNER Mr. J. B. Merritt appeared before the Council and asked them to consider the re-zoning of his property, Lot 240B-MS , 41 Crest Road West, and other property on the west - end of Crest Road from RAS-2 to RAS-1 . Thereafter, it was moved by Councilman Goodman, seconded by Councilman Amberg and unanimously carried that � the City Attorney be instructed to draw a resolu�tion in re the intention of the Council to consider the rezoning of Miscellaneous Parcels 239B and 24OA and B from RAS-2 to R,AS-1 . � WEED ABATEMENT PROGR,AM � Chief Leslie Dutton, .Los Angeles County Fire ' Department, reported on the weed abatement operation in . the City of Rolling Hills . � �o�' ' Janua�ry 14, 1963 � . Follow.ing discussion �the Council agreed that a. City Wee,d��' Ataatement Ordinance would nct be :needed, and it was tliereupon moved��� by Counci.lman..Amber.g, s,econded .by Counc.ilman. Goo.cl�nan ..a.n-d� un,az�fmously carried that the Weed Abate�ent -'Program now being carri'ed out by the. County be approved, and that roadside weeds in particular be removed and the property owners �'be eharged for the remova� thereof . PROPOSED VICIOUS DOG ORDINANCE Mr . Mark Friedman, I.I` Fl�ying Mane Road, appeared before the Council and requested �that the �Council consider the adoption of a Vicious Dog Ordinance . Following a discussion on the matter, it was moved by Councilman Amberg, seconded by Councilman Goodman an'd unanimously carried that the matter �be held over until the n.ext -meeting : , . The City Clerk was directed to advise Mr. Dunaway that `trash. collection was a matter of private contract and not under the jurisdiction of the City, COST OF LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES A letter was presented from County of Los Angeles , Chief Administrative Officer, giving action of the Board of Supervisors regarding cost to cities for Law Enforcement Services .
