A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING
HILLS,oCALIFORNIA ENDORSING IN PRINCIPAL PALOS VERDES
ADVISORY COUNCIL LAND USE OBJECTIVES
WHEREAS, the,. County .of Los Angeles has. undertaken a _Land Use
Study of the Palos Verdes'Peninsula and has requested,..,
a statement of the• des,ires.'.of ;Peninsula- residents
with respect to the development of the unincorporated
portion of the area under consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Palos Verdes Advisory Council, representing the
thirty-one homeowner organizations in the County area
of,the Peninsula have adopted a statement of consensus
with respect to land.use (eighteen objectives and a
suggested rezoning of key undeveloped parcels); and
WHEREAS, this statement of consensus has been formulated to
reflect the results of a series of informal meetings
involving representatives of the Peninsula Advisory
Council, and the city councils and planning commissions
of the three incorporated Peninsula cities; and
WHEREAS this statement of consensus forms an acceptable base-
line position for presentation to the County of Los
Angeles Regional Planning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Rolling Hills endorses in principal the primary
statement of objectives and suggested use for key un-
developed acreage within the unincorporated portion of
the Palos Verdes Peninsula, supports the Palos Verdes
Advisory Council in its presentation of, this position
and requests adoption by the County of Los Angeles of a
Land Use Plan which is fully responsive to the stated
aspirations of Peninsula residents.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of March, 1968.
