RESOLUTION NO. 252
A.RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA SUPPORTING
PROPOSITION 1 ON THE JUNE BALLOT
WHEREAS, Proposition.l is a bond issue to provide two -
hundred -forty-six million dollars for construction of urgently needed
medical facilities around the State, and
WHEREAS, passage of Proposition 1 will enable the State
of California.to apply for an additional one hundred -twenty-five
million dollars in federal grants, all of which will be used to build
or expand vital facilities for the training of physicians, surgeons,
nurses, veterinarians and other health scientists, and
WHEREAS, bonds approved by passage of Proposition 1 will
be repaid through the general fund at a cost to California taxpayers
of approximately seventy cents per year.over the twenty-five year
life of the bonds, and
U_ WHEREAS, seventy cents per year is a small price to pay
for the urgent need for more doctors, medical education and sufficient
V medical care for our society, and

WHEREAS, the California Assembly has unanimously approved
placement of Proposition 1 on the June ballot, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Rolling Hills does hereby endorse and support passage of
Proposition 1 on the June ballot and does urge the endorsement, sup-
port and YES vote of each Legislator and citizen. -the State of
California.
