RESOLUTION NO. 298
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS,'CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO WAIVE ALL FEES AND CHARGES IN CONNECTION
WITH RECONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENCES AND OTHER
STRUCTURES DESTROYED BY FIRE ON JUNE 2211 1973, IN
THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SECTION 53021 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills did on
June 25, 1973, declare a local emergency in the City of Rolling Hills
caused by the fire which destroyed numerous dwellings and structures
in said City; and
WHEREAS, it may be the desire of the owners of said structures
to rebuild, repair, or remove debris from the building sites on
which said structures were located;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of -Rolling Hills that the City Clerk be authorized to issue
all permits, process all applications and other papers or documents
required by City Ordinances of the City of Rolling Hills in connection
with the reconstruction of said residences and other structures
destroyed by said fire, without -charge or fee, providing in each
instance that each application or request for relief from said charges
required by said Ordinances of the City of Rolling Hills is made by
the owner of said destroyed property or his duly authorized agent.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution
be forwarded to the County Engineer of the County of Los Angeles, who
is employed by this City to act as its City Engineer, or to any other
agency performing services .for said City on a contractual basis.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 28th day of June, 1973..
