A RESOLDTION'OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, CONINIENDING
JAMES A. HAYES FOR HIS ASSISTANCE AND AID TO
SAID CITY
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Rolling Hills
suffered severe damage and loss of property by reason of a,brush
fire which burned to the ground ten residential dwellings and
partially damaged other dwellings and structures in. said City
on June 22, 1973; and
WHEREAS, as,a result of said fire the residents of the
City were forced to rely on the cooperation and assistance of the
appropriate agencies of the County of Los Angeles not only to
prevent furthtr fire and smoke damage to the other residential
structures, but also to provide assistance, encouragement and
care in connection with their general welfare during and after the
occurrence of this disaster; and
WHEREAS, there was made available to residents of the
City all necessary, efficient and proper County assistance to the
residents of the City of Rolling Hills and to the entire staff of
said City because of the untiring efforts and devotion to duty of
Supervisor James A. Hayes;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Rolling Hills for and on behalf of each of its resi-
dents does extend to Supervisor James A. Hayes its heartfelt thanks
and sincere appreciation for all his efforts and assistance to the
residents of the City of Rolling Hills at the time of said disaster.
