RESOLUTION NO. 320
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING
HILLS, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES FOR THE
FISCAL.YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1974 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1975
WHEREAS, by resolution heretofore adopted pursuant to the
provisions of Section 51508 of the Government Code of the State of
California, the City Council fixed $189,663.00 as the amount of revenue
from property taxes necessary to support the departments of the City
of Rolling Hills for the current fiscal year: commencing July 1, 1974
and ending June 30, 1975, and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills previou'sly elected to
assume financial responsibility for services provided City residents
by the Consolidated Fire Protection District pursuant to Section
43073 (a) of the Government Code, and
WHEREAS, the total assessed value of all property within the
City of Rolling Hills is $21,800,340.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 51511 of the Government
Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of
Rolling Hills does resolve as follows:
1. RESOLVED that there is hereby levied for municipal purposes
upon each ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) worth (assessed valuation) of
property, i;--.the,—City.-of. Rolling -,-,Hills, exclusive of property which is
tax exempt, for. the fiscal year,',commencing July 1, 1974 and ending
June 30, 1975, a tax of=F�I_CH.TY,°:SI:yVEN CENTS ($,87)
2. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that pursuant to Section. 43073 (b) of
the Government Code, the tax rate of the City of Rolling Hills shall be,
increased by an amount equal to the amount of the tax rate set by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles for the Consolidated
Fire Protection.District for the 1974-75 Fiscal Year.
3. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Cleric shall certify to
the passage of this resolution by the City Council of the City of
Rolling Hills, and cause the same to :be posted in three (3) conspic-
uous places in the City of Rolling Hills, and it shall take effect
immediately.,'.
4. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk be, and she here-
by is, instructed to file with the County Auditor of the County.o.f
Los Angeles on or before September 1, 1974 a certified copy of this
resolution.
