A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF MONIES FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS FOR EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills has
heretofore established a budget for the fiscal year commencing Julyl,
1975, and ending June 30, 1976, which budget, among other things,
provided for the expenditure of $14,000 for recreational purposes; and
WHEREAS., a majority of the residents of the City of Rolling
Hills are interested,, directly or indirectly, in equestrian activities;
and
WHEREAS, the Caballeros Del Rancho Palos Verdes,, Inc., a
group of residents of the City of Rolling Hills who participate
actively in equestrian activities in the City of Rolling Hills,
appeared before the City Council and requested that a portion of said
funds be set aside in said budget to be expended for the construction
of capital improvements at the riding ring in Hesse's Gap; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
believes that a majority of the residents of the City participate in
equestrian activities which include the use of the riding ring facil-
ities at Hesse's Gap;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of $9,000 be
expended by the City of Rolling Hills for improving the equestrian
facilities at Hesse's Gap and that of this sum $3,600 shall be ex-
pended during the fiscal year 1975-76 for the construction of a
structure to house a Judge's Standanda refreshment booth, and that
$3,000 be expended for other capital improvements;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that all monies in excess of
$32000 be expended in accordance with law and the appropriate sta-
tutes relating thereto.

set aside in a separate fund by the City of Rolling Hills for improving
the equestrian:facil'ities in the City of Rolling Hills.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that all monies be expended in
accordance.w.ith law and the appropriate statutes relating thereto.
