A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE
PREPARATIW AND PRINTING OF CANDIDATES' STATE
MENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND THE PAYMENT OF THE
COST THEREOF AS REQURED BY SECTION 10012.5 OF THE
ELECTION CODE RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO-. 3.49 .
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills is required by the
Election Code of the State of California to adopt --regulations relating
to the preparation, printing and mailing.of.the Candidates' Statements
of Qualifications as..set forth in Section 10012.5 of the Election Code;
and
WHEREAS, the..above numbered Section permits a candidate to
prepare and file a Statement of Qualifications of not more than 200.
words, with the City Clerk for mailing to voters -in. -the City..of Rolling
Hills, along with a�--sample ballot; and
WHEREAS, the above numbered section further provides for
the Clerk. -:to -provide a Spanish translation of such statement if
by the candidates; and
WHEREAS, the above numbered section further provides that
the costs of printing,.handling and translating the Candidates' S.tate-
T,.) ments may be billed on a prorated basis to each candidate using the
services;..
NOW, THEREFORE:, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Resolution...No:7. 349 dated November 24, 1975, is hereby
rescinded and repealed.... -
2... Each candidate filing nomination papers for the office
of Councilperson may prepare and file with the City Clerk a Statement
of Qualifications on an,appropriate form -provided by the City Clerk,
which. statement: may include the name, age and occupation.. of the
candidate I. on description in not .more than 200 words of the
candidates education and.qualifications, as expressed by the candidate,.
3: The cost of printing and handling the Statements of.
Qualifications shall be billed to and paid for by each candidate. The
cost shall not exceed the sum of $75 per candidate, unless the candidate
elects to have his or her.stateme.nt printed also in Spanish.
