0365RESOLUTION NO. 365 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills, California desires to participate in a certai.n6` roject designdted-'th6 South' Bay-'�tegioial° Burglary Team to be ftinded'in part from funds made .available through the Onmibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act if 1968, PL90-355, as amended, PL91-644, (hereafter referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered by the California Office of Criminal Justice Planning; and WHEREAS, the California Office -of Criminal Justice Planning has been organized to administer the funds appropriated by Congress and allocated for use in California under the provisions of the law; and WHEREAS, the Southern California Association of Governments has been designated as the Regional Advisory Board for Region R in- cluding the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area; and V WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board has been organized and has published a. Regional Criminal Justice Master Plan for Region R; and WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach, on behalf of the cities of: Culver City, E1 Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Ingle- wood, Lawndale, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills Estates, Santa Monica, Torrance, Lennox Station Area, Rolling Hills and Rancho Palos Verdes submitted an application for a grant of $693,333 to fund a Crime Specific -Burglary Program en- titled South Bay Regional Burglary Team; and WHEREAS, the sum of $72.80 has been assessed of the City of Rolling Hills for the hard cash matching funds requirement, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills, California, does resolve as follows: 1. That the City Council agrees to participate in the proposed South Bay Regional Burglary Team, to.accept its share of the grant, and to provide the City's share of hard cash matching funds which has been determined to be a sum equal to $72.80. 2. That the City Manager is herewith designated as the City's representative in the conduct of the South Bay Regional Burglary Team, and is authorized to furnish information, execute documents, make expen- ditures and perform associated administrative functions within the scope of authority granted by this resolution. The City Manager may designate other employees as necessary to assist her in these duties. 3. That the grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures. 4. That in the conduct of this Project, the City will comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of June, 1976.
