0371RESOLUTION X101. 371 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THP CITY OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING THE,CITY MANAGER' TO ENTER NTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY. OF BANCIJO PALOS VERDES FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF ONE HALF OF ITS SB 821 ALLOCATION FOR BICYCLE ROUTE CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY OF RANCUO PALOS 'VERDES WHEREAS, the State of California enacted SB 821 providing ands for the development of bicycle routes in the form of two percent of the funds available under SB 325; and WHEREAS, the Southern California Association of Governments has been designated as the regulatory agency for the distribution of such funds; 'and i WVEREAS, the Soubhern California Association of Governments t- has promulgated guidelines for the filing of such funds and these . �guidelines suggest that cooperative efforts between jurisdictions are to "1- be encouraged; and U WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills wishes to encourage the development of bicycle routes wherever practicable, and WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, in its Bicycle Routes Master Plan, has established plans to develop bicycle routes which will help to meet the needs of the citizens of the City of Rolling Hills as well as the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula; NOW, THEREFORE, $E IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the ity of Rolling Hills does hereby authorize the City Manager to designate the City of Rancho Palos Verdes as its lead agency hereby empowering said City to apply for one half of the City of Rolling Hills' share of its 1976-77 SB 821 -money for the purpose of developing said trail system in Rancho Palos Verdes.
