NECESSARY DOCUMENTS",'SiTAT.I--NG- INTENT TO -PARTICIPATE IN LOS
ANGELES COUNTY'S 911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM PLAN IN
COMPLIANCE WITH GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 53100
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills did
notify the County.of Los Angeles of its intent to participate in the
joint -development and'submittal'of 911 Tentative Plans to the State of
California and'.Local Public.:.Utilitie-s-, -such-Plans to include all
emergency services and public safety functions.provided by or within the
City to meet:_:;the legal requirements for such -911• Tentative- 'Plans as
specified,inr-Government Code Section 53100 et.seq.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY -OF ROLLING HILLS
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Managgr..i.s.-hereby authorized and directed to
V f ile necessary documents s..tat-irig;, th6e.`intent of the City of Rolling Hills
V to participate in. Los Ahkeles County's 9'I�°'.Emergency Telephone System
Plan= --in- compliance. witli California Governmerit.:Code -53.100 -:et. se,q. -and
the State Standard=s -for 911 systems published.by the California Depart-
ment ' of General Services. _...._
SECTION 2. It is understood that the submittal of the Plan does
not constitute a firm order to the telephone companies to engineer.,
esign, and install the County's 911 system. Under current planning a
irm order will be placed with the telephone companies in January -of
979, with an implementation date of January 1981 subject to approval
by the State Communications Division and State 911 Advisory Committee
and contingent upon adequate State subvention.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to forward two certified
co-pies--of-this Resolution together with- Form. COM-280'executed by the
City Manager to the County of Los Angl
ees,. D1.r.ec.torLof 'Communications
for submittal to the Board of Supervi=sors---to-get-her--wi_th the Plan for
their approval, and then to be,_forwa-rded to the State•.: -:Communications
Division prior. to July 1, 1978..._ x_
