OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
August 1, 1963
The adjourned -meeting of the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills was called to order at 5:00 P.M., on
Thursday, August 1, 1963 in the City Hall by Mayor Amberg.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmen Goodman, Tourtelot and
Mayor Amberg .'
Absent: Councilmen Van Note, O'Flaherty

RESOLUTION NO. .165
Councilman Owen Goodman.read in full Resolution
No. 165 entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the
City -of -Rolling Hills, California, Authorizing the Acquisi-
tion of Certain Real Property Owned by Palos Verdes -Unified
.School District."
On motion of Councilman Tourtelot and seconded
by Councilman Goodman, Resolution No. 165 was adopted by
'the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Goodman, Tourtelot.and Mayor -Amberg
NOES; None
ABSENT: Councilmen Van Note, O'Flaherty
Resolution No. 165 is set forth in full in the
Book -of hesolutions-.
JOHN.'MERRITT SU$DIVISION-TENTATIVE MAP FEE
Mayor Amberg stated that Mr. John .Merritt - had
r -.e -submitted thirty (30) tentative maps and that the
"Council should ascertain whether another filing fee was
necessary.
Councilman Goodman asked what amount Mr. Merritt
had paid originally. The -Deputy --City Clerk stated that
Mr. Merritt had.paid the regular tentative map filing fee,
which was $75.00 plus $2.00 for each additional lot, or a
total of $77.00.
There followed a,discussion after which Councilman
Tourtelot made a motion that -Mr. Merritt be directed to,reim-
burse the City for any expenses in excess of the sum of $77.00
heretofore paid by him at the time of filing the original

tentative map which the City may incur in the processing
of -said subdivision. 'The motion was seconded by Councilman
Goodman and carried by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Goodman, Tourtelot and Mayor Amberg-
NOES:

ABSENT: Councilmen Van Note, O'Flaherty
CORRESPONDENCE
Mayor.Amberg presented the following:
a) Letter dated July 29, 1963 from Chief Keith E.
O Klinger expressing his thanks for the.Res.olution
of Appreciation which was presented to him by
cc
m the City Council on .July 22, 1963.
The letter was received .and filed.
b) Letter dated July 29, 1963 from the Los Angeles
County Fire Fighters Association announcing the
.._sponsoring of a Fire Fighters Ball to be held
at -the -Hollywood Palladium on September 14, 1963.
No action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT
There being.no.further business to come before
the meeting,.it was moved by Councilman Goodman, seconded
by Councilman Tourtelot and unanimously carried that the
meeting be adjourned at 5:25 P.M.
