SPECIAL EDITION OF THE BLUE NEWSLETTER
Block Captains are residents who volunteer their time for the well-being of the community.
At the December 6, 2022 Block Captain Holiday Gathering, Block Captains Debra Shrader,
Judith Haenel, Clint Patterson, Marian Visco, Leslie Stetson, Kathleen Hughes, and Carol
Marrone were recognized for their participation in the Canyon Management Brainstorming
Session. Lead Block Captains Gene & Arlene Honbo were also recognized for their
continued commitment to the Block Captain Program and their leadership for the past four
years.
This year, there will be a new Block Captain Leadership Team lead by: Marita Geraghty, Debra
Shrader, and Marian Visco. The City thanks all the Block Captains for their generosity and
considerations for the community. The Block Captains have been instrumental in bringing
about awareness and education on wildfire mitigation measures and are advocates for more
actions by local government. Thank you Block Captains!
