ACTIVE-DUTY DEATH OF LA COUNTY FIRE
DEPARTMENT FIRE FIGHTER SPECIALIST

It is with great sadness the #LACoFD shares the active-duty death of Fire Fighter Specialist Jeffrey
Windle, on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Fire Fighter Specialist Windle faithfully served the Fire
Department for 22 years and was last assigned to Fire Station 56 in the City of Rolling Hills.
To ensure the proper care and support of the Windle family and our team members, Fire Chief
Anthony C. Marrone has activated their Chaplains, Peer Support, and Memorial Management
teams.
Fire Station 56 and Specialist Windle supported the Rolling Hills Block Captain Program on wildfire
mitigations and education within our community. We will miss Jeffrey, his dedication to the fire
service, and lasting impacts on both our local fire pstation and greater community.
RIP Fire Fighter Specialist Windle.
