EDUCATIONAL EVENT ON APRIL 30TH
KNOW YOUR “EVACUATION” ZONE
PENINSULA-WIDE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN COMING SOON
City staff is currently working with the other three Peninsula cities on rollout of “KNOW YOUR ZONE”
campaign via a Peninsula branded website to build awareness and understanding of evacuation
zones in the event of an emergency. This is not to be confused with the existing Rolling Hills Block
Captain zones.
LA County’s Office of Emergency Management has divided the City of Rolling Hills into three (3)
Evacuation Zones. As you will see in the below diagram, Portuguese Bend Road and Crest Road
act as the dividing “lines” between zones. In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation –
residents are asked to learn and remember their zone.
The Peninsula cities are planning a promotional and educational campaign directed at Peninsula
residents to coincide with Wildfire Awareness Month in May. Stay tuned for more information.
