FALL COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DATES
• Green Waste Brush Clearance: Wed., October 4, 2023
Larger quantities of green waste will be collected near
the roadside instead of at your typical designated
collection location. Place the green waste in an area that
is clearly visible to our drivers. Bundling makes for easier
collection. Bundles should be no more than 4 feet long.
No container, bag or bundle should weigh more than 60
pounds.
• Bulky Item Collection: Wed., October 11, 2023
Bulk items, such as furniture, appliances and rolled rugs,
will be picked up from your designated collection
location. Please place items in an area that is easily visible
to our drivers. Set out items the night before collection or
by 6 a.m. on the collection day.
• Shred and E-waste: Sat., October 21, 2023
Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., drop off confidential
documents for secure shredding and electronic waste,
such as computers, televisions, smartphones and similar
items, for recycling at City Hall.

PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY AND PROTECT
YOUR ROLLING HILLS COMMUNITY
Residents are reminded to maintain the appropriate
clearance between structures and vegetation. The Los
Angeles County Fire Department regulates the first 200
feet from structures in order to establish a fire fighting
defensible space. The City Ordinance requires the
removal of dead trees and plants on the remainder of
your property to help keep our community safe from the
threat of wildfires. Residents may wish to consult with their
gardener, an arborist or tree service to assess trees and
shrubs and for constructive clearance methods that
avoid future erosion. If you have questions about
clearance requirements, please call the Fire Department
at 310-377-1584. Links to Educational Videos:
