WEEKLY GREEN WASTE RECOMMENDATIONS
The City is working with Republic Services staff to
continuously improve on their services to residents. During
our monthly meeting with the Operations Supervisor, we
learned that there are times (especially during rain
events) that the retrieval of green waste can be made
difficult due to water filling resident containers. Republic
has asked that we remind residents to:
• Cover green waste containers to prevent rainwater
from getting in
• Empty any rainwater before your bi-weekly pickup
time(s)
• Drill holes in the bottom of containers to allow water to
drain out naturally
• Or use bags for green waste if the above is not feasible.
No container, bag or bundle should weigh more than 60
pounds.
