RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING THE 1979
EDITION OF THE UNIFORM STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City adopted the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 1976 Edition on March 14, 1977 by
Resolution No. 381; and
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California Chapter of
the American Public Works Association and the Associated General
Contractors of California working as a committee have compiled a
1979 Edition of the Standard Specifications for Public Works
Construction; and
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve to minimize
conflict and confusion in public works construction and will tend
to lower construction costs for future..public works .projects through
t.. competitive bidding by private contractors; and
�• WHEREAS, the City Engineer was represented on the committee
which compiled the 1979 Edition and has recommended its adoption;

V NOW, THEREFORE,. the City Council of the City of Rolling
Hills resolves that:
1. The 1979 Edition of the.Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, Parts One through Three, prepared by
the APWA-AGC Joint Committee of Southern California, be adopted.
2. The City Clerk is directed to -forward a certified
copy of this resolution to the County Engineer as its City Engineer.
