A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS ESTABLISHING FEES TO BE CHARGED
AND COLLECTED FOR THE PREPARATION OF A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION OR AN ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REPORT
UNDER THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
WHEREAS, Section 21089 of the Public Resources Code
empowers the City of Rolling Hills ("City") to charge and collect
a reasonable fee from any person (as defined in the Act) proposing
a project subject to the provisions of the California Environmental
Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the City has not fixed or established a charge
for the preparation of a negative declaration or an environmental
quality report for any such project submitted to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City incurs expense in obtaining expert ad-
vice and administrative overhead in the preparation of such a
negative declaration or environmental quality report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Rolling Hills does fix and establish a charge of $500
as the fee for the processing and preparation of a negative declar-
ation or an environmental quality report required by the provisions
of the California.Environmental Quality Act.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that such fee shall be paid to the
City Clerk of the City of Rolling Hills by such person proposing
such a project, at the time of the filing with the City Clerk of
the first document which requests or requires the approval or
permission of the City for such project.
