0454RESOLUTION NO. 454 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, INCORPORATING BY REFERENCE THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION'S CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE WHEREAS, the amendments to the Political Reform Act, Government Code Sections 81,000 et seq., have in the past and in the foreseeable future will require conforming amendments to be made in Conflict of Interest codes adopted and promulgated pursuant to its provisions; and WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practice Commission has adopted a regulation, 2 California Administrative Code Section 18730, which contains the terms of a standard model Conflict of Interest Code, which can be incorporated by reference and which will be amended to conform to amendments in the Political Reform Act after public notice : and hearings conducted by the Fair Political Practices Commission pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act, Government Code Section 11370, et seq; and WHEREAS, incorporation in the Conflict of Interest Code, of the terms of the aforementioned regulation and amendments to it, by reference, will save the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills time and money by Minimizing the actions required of said City Council to keep the Codes in conformity with the Political Reform Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. All previously adopted resolutions approving the various separate Conflict of Interest Codes are hereby rescinded; 2. The terms of 2 California Administrative Code Section 18730 and any amendments to it duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission, along with the attached Appendices in which officials and employees are designated and disclosure categories are set forth, are hereby incorporated by reference and constitute the Conflict of Interest Codes for the following agencies and officers of the City of Rolling Hills, California: (A) Members of the City Council; (B) Members of the Planning Commission; (C) The Planning Advisor; (D) The City Attorney; and (E) The City Manager. 3. Persons holding designated positions shall file state- ments of economic interest pursuant to Section 4 (C) of the Code; and all designated persons shall file their statements with the Deputy City Clerk, whom the City Council hereby delegates as the authority to carry out the duties of Filing Officer.
