A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIDE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS ESTATES APPOINTING THE CITY OF -
ROLLING HILLS ESTATES AS THE LEAD AGENCY IN
APPLYING FOR AN ARTICLE 4.5 COMILI1UNITY LEVEL..
TRANSIT CLAIM FOR PROVIDING A COMMUNITY LEVEL
TRANSIT PROGRAM FOR SENIOR CITIZENS RESIDING IN.
THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS.
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act under -
Article 4.5 .provides for the funding of community level transit
programs; for senior citizens, and
'WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
deems it appropriate to provide a community level transit program.
for its City's senior citizens that will be subsidized by the'
above grant program; and `
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills Estates bas agreed
to act as the lead agency in applying for and administering this
particular.grant program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF ROIJ ING
HILLS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. To authorize the City Manager to designate
the City of Rolling Hills Estates as its lead agency.hereby em-
powering,said City to apply for all necessary funds for developing
a community transit program in the City of Rolling Hills.
SECTION 2. To authorize the City of.Rolling Hills Estates
to administer this program or appoint any other agency designated
by the City of Rolling Hills Estates for this task...
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify.to the adoption'
of this Resolution No..461, and shall cause the necessary copies to
be forwarded to agencies_ as required.'
