.A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS APPROVING
APPLICATION OF ITS CALIFORNIA PARKLANDS BOND ACT OF 1980 FOR DAPPLEGRAY
PARK IN THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS ESTATES.
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the
California Parklands Bond Act of 1980 which provides funds to the State
of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and
developing facilities for public outdoor recreation and historical purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the State Department.of Parks and Recreation has been dele-
gated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the
State, setting up necessary procedures governing application by local
agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks
{�. and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval
of applications prior to submission of said applications to the State;

WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant must
comply with; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 459 approved and adopted on Mar- R
1981 -this City did declare its intent to authorize its 1980 Grant to be
utilized by the City of Rolling Hills Estates; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills Estates has agreed to utilize the
Grant from the City of Rolling Hills to develop Dapplegray Park which
development will contain facilities to be used and enjoyed by the City of
Rolling Hills citizens;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Approves the filing of an application for 1980 State
Grant Assistance to be -used by the City of Roll.ing.Hills Estates; and
SECTION 3. Has been assured that the City of Rolling Hills Estates
understands and will comply with the assurances in the application; and
SECTION 4. Has been assured that the City of Rolling Hills Estates
meets the planning requirements and that the project is compatible with the
land use plans of those jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project;
and
SECTION 5. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the -City to conduct
all negotiations, execute and submit in concert with the City of Rolling
Hills Estates all documents including but not limited to applications,
agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on which may be necessary,
for the completion of the Dapplegray Park project; and
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause same to be filed with the necessary persons and
agencies.
