A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF'ROLLING HILLS PROVIDING REVENUE SHARING
CREDIT FOR FIRE PROTECTION TAXES PAID BY CITY
PROPERTY OWNERS
The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills resolves
as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to .Government Code Section 43073
(Stats. 1973-74, Ch. 358., Sec. 1), the City.Council of the City.
of Rolling Hills, a city which is encompassed entirely within
the territory.of the Los.Angeles County Fire Protection District,
has heretofore elected to pay such District an amount equal to
the amount -such District _would have derived from its tax on all
property within the incorporated limits of the City.
Section 2. Pursuant_to Government Code Section 43073
(Stats 1973-74, Ch. 358, Sec..l.' and as amended by Stats. 1980,
Ch. 1220, Sec..2.), the Auditot-Controller,of the County of Los
Angeles shall reallocate property taxes due to such'District
within the incorporate,d.limit.s of the City to the City for the
fiscal years_1978-1979, 1979-19802 1980-1981., and each fiscal.
year thereafter, and,..upon apportionment of taxes by the County,
the reallocated amounts .shall be -transferred by the Auditor -
Controller to such District.
Section 3.,_ By.adoption of this Resolution, the City
Council.does.;not waive,: and,;. expresslyreserve s, all rights with
respect .to tax :effort ,credits _ for Federal revenue sharing pur-
poses
ur-poses for any fiscal year.
Section 4_. The City Clerk is'directed forthwith to
mail a certified copy .of.this Resolution by certified mail to
the Auditor -Controller, the Assessor and the Tax Collector of
Los Angeles County.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall, within 15 days of
adoption hereof, publish this Resolution in at least three
public places in the City of Rolling Hills designated for the
posting of city ordinances. and notices and shall file proof'
of such posting in the official records.of the City Clerk.
