RESOLUTION NO. 474
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS`ADOPTING THE 1981 SUPPLEMENT
TO.THE.UNIFORM STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR- :'
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION, 1979 EDITION
WHEREAS, the City adopted the Standard Specifications
for Public Works Construction, 1979 Edition on May 12, 1980 by
Resolution No. 442; and
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California Chapters
of the American Public Works Association and the Associated
General Contractors Of California, working as A committee, have
compiled a 1981 Supplement to the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 1979 Edition; and
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve to
minimize conflict and confusion in public works,construction
and will tend to lower construction costs for future.public
works projects through competitive bidding by provate contracts;
and

WHEREAS, the City Engineer was represented on.the
committee which compiled the 1981 Supplement and recommended
its adoption;..
NOW, THEREFORE, the -.City Council of the City of.
Rolling Hills resolves that:
Section 1. The 1981 Supplement to the 1979 Edition
of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction
prepared by the APWA=AGC Joint Committee of Southern California
is hereby adopted.
Section 2. The City Clerk .is directed to -forward a
certified copy of this resolution to the County Engineer as
its City Engineer.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 10th day.of August, 1981.
