RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS IN -SUPPORT OF CONTINUATION OF
CLEAN WATER ACT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the United States Congress has enacted and the
President has signed the Municipal Wastewater Treatment
Construction Grant Amendments of 1981 (H.R. 4503);
WHEREAS, said act authorizes a'continuation of federal grant
funding of water pollution control and water reclamation facilities;,
WHEREAS, there is an urgent need in the Los Angeles basin
for federal funds to continue and complete partially funded
programs of water pollution.control and water reclamation;
WHEREAS, in order to achieve adequate federal funding on a
nationwide basis, itis necessary.that Congress appropriate
2.4 billion dollars ($2,400,000,000) for the fiscal year 1982;
NOW,.THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Rolling Hills, that President Ronald Reagan is hereby
urged to request the United States Congress to appropriate
2.4 billion dollars ($2,400,000,000) to provide federal funding
of the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Construction Grant Amend-
ments of 1981 for the fiscal year 1982.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the United States Congress.is
requested to authorize this level of appropriation at the
earliest possible date.
