A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA SUPPORTING THE
SOUTH BAY JUVENILE DIVERSION PROJECT IN SEEKING
FUNDING UNDER THE UNIFORM COUNTY JUSTICE SYSTEM
SUBVENTION PROGRAM (AB90) AND JUVENILE JUSTICE
AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION FUNDS FROM THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills is a member of the Youth
Services/Diversion Project known as the South Bay Juvenile Diversion
Pro.j ect ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills has invested great amounts
of time, resources and money in.the planning, development, implementation
and operation of the South Bay Juvenile Diversion Project which provides
funds to twenty-one (21) community-based agencies -to provide services

to youth in ten (10) cities of the South Bay; and
WHEREAS, the intent of the Assembly Bill 90 and Juvenile
V -
V Justice and Delinquency Prevention funds are within the scope of activities
offered by the South Bay Juvenile Diversion Project:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Rolling Hills
supports the South Bay Juvenile Diversion Project i;i seek-i..g furdirg =der
the Uniform County Justice System Subvention Program and Juvenile Justice
and Delinquency Prevention Funds or other appropriate Programs and urges
the County of Los Angeles to recognize the already established youth
service delivery system for all appropriate funds flowing to the City.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this Resolution, shall enter the same in the Book of Resolutions of
said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof
in the records of the proceedings of the City Council in the minutes of
the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
