RESOLUTION NO. 488
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING ITS
GRANT UNDER THE ROBERTI-Z'BERG URBAN OPEN -SPACE AND RECREATION PROGRAM TO BE
UTILIZED BY THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS ESTATES.
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of California has enacted the
Roberti-Z'berg Urban Open -Space and Recreation Program, which provides funds
to certain political subdivisions of the State of California for acquiring
lands and for developing facilities to meet urban recreation needs; and
WHEREAS, under the Roberti-Z'berg Urban Open -Space and Recreation Program,
the City of Rolling Hills is entitled to file a grant request totalling $2,326.00;
and
WHEREAS, itis possible for cities to join together to file applicationsf
for combined grants, or for one City to designate the use of its grant funds for
a project in another City which will be of benefit -to the residents of the granting
City; and.
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills Estates is planning the construction of park..
facilities at Ernie Howlett Park adjacent to the City of Rolling Hills; and
WHEREAS, Ernie Howlett Park will contain facilities which will be used and
enjoyed by the City of Rolling Hills citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Rolling Hills authorizes the.
City of Rolling Hills Estates to utilize the City of Rolling Hills grant of
$2,326.00 by applying for these funds for construction of park facilities at Ernie
Howlett Park under the Roberti-Z°berg Urban Open -Space and Recreation Program.
