RESOLUTION NO. 491
RESOLUTION OF.THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ,.
OF ROLLING HILLS URGING REELECTION OF
GORDANA SWANSON TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
-OF'THE RAPID TRANSIT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Gordana Swanson has served as a Director of
the Rapid Transit District since -her election to the Board on
June 41 1981; and
WHEREAS, Gordana Swanson has always been vitally
interested in the Rapid Transit District Problems, particularly
those affecting the residents of the South Bay Corridor; and
WHEREAS, Gordana Swanson is intimately familiar with
the South Bay transportation needs and prior to her election to'
the District Board of Directors actively participated in the
South Bay Corridor Study and..in implementing the Dial -a -Ride
program for the Peninsula; and
WHEREAS, Gordana Swanson has served as a member of
the Rolling Hills City Council since 1976 and has been re-
elected for.a four year term; and
WHEREAS, Gordana Swanson desires to continue her
efforts. to help solve the current transit problems and is a
candidate for reelection to the Rapid Transit District Board
of Directors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of,the:-City of Rolling Hills that by virtue of her experience,
her interest in, her knowledge of, and her previous significant .
contribution to the South Bay Corridor, Gordana Swanson is
eminently qualified to serve another term on the Board of
Directors of the.Rapid Transit District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council:.of the
City of Rolling Hills supports Gordana Swanson and strongly
urges the members of the South Bay Corridor to reelect her as
a Director of the Rapid Transit District.
