RESOLUTIO114 OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS ADOPTING
1982 EDITION OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTIO14
WHERE -AS, the -'City adopted the Standard . Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 1979 Edition on Play 12, 1980 by Resolution
No. 442; and
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California
ornia Chapters of the
American Public Works Association and the Associated General 'Contrac-.
tors of California, working as a Joint Cooperative Committee, have
prepared the 1982 Edition of the Standard Specifications for Public
Works Construction; and
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve'to minimize -
conflict and confusion in public works construction and will tend to''
lower construction costs for future.public works projects through
competitive bidding by private contractors; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer was represented on the Committee'
which prepared the 1982 Edition and recommended its adoption;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
resolves that:
1. The 1982 -Edition of the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, Parts One through Three, prepared by -.the
APWA-AGC Joint Cooperative Committtee of Southern California be
adopted.
2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy,
of this resolution to the County Engineer of Los Angeles as its
City Engineer.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 11th day of October, 1982._
