A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS PROVIDING REVENUE SHARING CREDIT FOR
FIRE PROTECTION TAXES PAID BY CITY PROPERTY OWNERS
The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills resolves
as follows: I
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code Section 43073
(Stats. 1973-74, Ch. 358, Sec. 1) and Health and Safety Code
Section 13809, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills,
a city which is encompassed entirely within the territory of
the Los Angeles County Fire Protection District, has hereto—
fore elected to pay such District an amount equal to the amount
such District would have derived from its tax on.all property-,
within the incorporated limits of the City.
Section 2. Pursuant to Government Code Section 43073
(Stats 1973-74, Ch. 358, Seca 1, and as amended by Stats. 1980,
Ch. 1220, Sec. 2), the Auditor -Controller of the County of Los
Angeles shall reallocate property taxes due to such District
within the incorporated limits of the City to the City for the
fiscal years of 1978-1979, 1979-1980, 1980-1981, 1981-1982,
1982-1983, 1983-1984, and each fiscal year thereafter, and,
upon apportionment of taxes by the County, the reallocated
amounts shall,be transferred by the Auditor -Controller to such
District.
Section 3. By adoption of this= Resolution, ,the City.
Council does not waive, and expressly reserves, all rights with
respect to tax effort credits for Federal revenue sharing pur-
poses for any fiscal year.
Section 4. The City Clerk is directed forthwith to mail
a certified copy of this Resolution by certified mail to the
Auditor -Controller, the Assessor and the Tax Collector of Los
Angeles County.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall, within 15 days of
adoption hereof, publish this Resolution in at least three
public places in the City of Rolling Hills designated for the
posting of city ordinances and notices and shall file proof
of such posting in the official records of the City Clerk.
